Last weekend we were in Seremban. The gardener was working hard cutting grass in our cousin's garden. He had a helper. It took about 3 hrs to finish the job and the cost??-- M$30/- (S$15)
For our small garden + a slope behind the house, I have to pay S$30/- for 1 1/2 hr job and not always the gardener would come. Very often I have to drive round the estate to spot him.
It has been almost 2 months and there is no sign of the gardener. I manage to find from the classified a garden contractor to do the job. For the first time, they charge S$80 and then every 6 weeks S$55. They could not start work today due to the rain. Appointment has to be made again.
So the best solution is: move to an apartment with beautiful landscape & good security but pay high management fee, or to Seremban for cheap and hardworking gardener!
I suppose in life you cannot have the cake and eat it at the same time.
